PME Energy conducted an ASHRAE Level II audit on the Cosmopolitan Hotel, located in Barsha, Dubai.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel – Dubai is home to more than 114 rooms, including suites and family rooms, designed to provide the perfect mix of comfort and relaxation for its clients. The hotel was constructed and commissioned in 2010 and has been operational since. Cosmopolitan Hotel also provides its guests with facilities, services, conference rooms for meetings and events, etc.

The energy consumption and load distribution of the hotel was assessed, and energy-saving opportunities were identified. The hotel was also benchmarked against the results in the EmiratesGBC Energy and Water Benchmarking for UAE Hotels using the Site Energy EUI and EUI per annual guest-night.

Multiple energy conservation measures were identified, that could result in saving up to 17% on the electric consumption anualy. Explored opportunities tackled everything from lighting optimization to HVAC system upgrades, including an investigation of the water piping network.
